Job Description:
To plan and carry out direct marketing and sales activities, so as to maintain and develop sales of BSIL’s offerings in the Consulting Services Practice, in accordance with agreed business plans.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Direct Sales Activities
- Identify prospects and market opportunities
- Plan and carry out direct marketing activities (principally direct mail / calls) to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values, & service offerings
- Find link selling opportunities using both old/new contacts
- Sharing of market research findings with Sales & Delivery teams
- Thorough Follow up of Direct Sales leads.
- Customer Relationship Activities
- Maintain and develop a customer and prospect database.
- Develop ideas and create offers for direct mail and marketing to major accounts by main market sector and BSIL’s CSP services
- Respond to and follow up on sales enquiries thoroughly
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support, and liaison with internal order-processing staff.
Market Intelligence
- Finding out / compilation of customer applications for our products / services
- Generating competitor intelligence and preparing competition kills.
- Provide feedback and input from own markets to help in strategy forming.
- Promotional Activities
- Assist where required in design, production and co-ordination of all marketing collateral, exhibition graphics and press releases
- Co-ordination of and Representation at trade fair / recruitment exhibitions, including follow up of contacts (as and when required).
- MIS / Others
- Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.
- Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development.
- Manage the external marketing agency activities of telemarketing and research, if any
- Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
- Inter-functional skill; coordination with delivery and support departments.
Desired Profile:
Experience around 4 - 9 years in a medium or large scale organization of repute with a proven track record in hardcore Sales & Marketing would be preferred.
Out of this around 1 year should have been in Direct Sales experience in
ORACLE ERP.
1. Should have handled Account Management / Client handling (Lead Generation thru Order Closure full-cycle experience) with Target /Quota Responsibility.
2. A full-fledged field-oriented guy with hard-core target based number driven experience
3. The person should be a self-starter with “can do” attitude & should have good articulation skills.
4. Should have excellent spoken & written skills with exceptional ability to communicate face to face & telephonically &
5. Should be a very competent writer of business letters, quotations and proposals.
6. Should be mature & have good interpersonal skills to deal with the senior executives of the company as well as his peers & juniors.
7. Hands-on in use of Office Automation software like MS Office, MS Outlook, Internet, etc.
8. Should be a B.E. or MCA and MBA or equivalent.
